The church and the people on the street come near to servant evangelism through servant evangelism.
Action Immanuel (Special Christmas outreaches)
From the middle of December through Christmas Day we coordinate a number of outreaches. For many people this is a lonely time and the Lord sends us to alleys to serve these people. All target groups are included in these outreaches. On Christmas Day we also serve the prisoners and staff at local police stations and provide them with gift parcels.
Easter Outreaches
During Easter we take the message of redemption and forgiveness in a number of creative ways to the streets of Cape Town. All target groups are served.
Regular Day Outreaches
During our day outreaches we concentrate predominantly on three groups: namely, the homeless, the refugees on the market square and the people who run small businesses on the streets. We urge the homeless people to join our OPHELP Projekte and encourage and support the refugees and others that must survive in a foreign country. It is our main objective to share Jesus Christ with them and to communicate His love in practical ways.
The Lord calls us to serve the city with the message JESUS SAVES. We do this in a number of ways i.e. removing graffiti from the walls of toilets in pubs, washing windows and walls where it is not possible for the shop owner to do so and providing people with soup and blankets during the cold winter months.
Prayer is an integral part of the day outreaches. More and more believers (from across the world) often meet in the city centre to pray for Cape Town, the rest of Africa and the different outreaches.
